Ireland's Next Garth Brooks

Picture

It might seem crazy to American country music fans but most people in Ireland probably haven’t a clue who Luke Combs is - YET

Country Hits listeners already know how incredible the North Carolina native is and can’t wait for him to headline Country 2 Country in Dublin this March.

The sold out Saturday night concert could very well be the launchpad for Luke to cross over into the mainstream Irish market.

I believe it’s possible for him to reach the phenomenal level of success Garth Brooks hit in the '90s.

Ireland had such a love affair with Garth, he packed out stadiums, sold buckets of albums and was played on all radio stations.

As yet, Luke doesn't have an anthem like "Friends In Low Places" which he may need to catapult him into super stardom outside the US.

However he's shown his cheeky sarcastic humor on 'When It Rains It Pours', and tugged on our heartstrings with 'Even Thought I'm Leaving'.

I really believe the Luke Combs train has left the station and it's only a matter of time before he becomes a real global superstar.

Yes, it’s a bold prediction but just look at his back catalog already, "Hurricane", "When It Rains It Pours", "One Number Away", "She Got the Best of Me", "Beautiful Crazy", "Beer Never Broke My Heart", and "Even Though I'm Leaving".

They’re just the number ones!

Had he spread out other album tracks like “Refrigerator Door”, “Houston We Got A Problem”' "Must've Never Met You", and “Moon Over Mexico” - I'm sure they’d also be chart toppers.

We’ve added his latest song 'Does To Me' with Eric Church to our Country Hits A list.

It’s such a fantastic tune and will probably top the charts as Luke and Eric take the 3 Arena stage over the C2C weekend.

As founder of Country Hits I’m really excited with where the genre is heading.

To be honest, it wavered for a few years with an over reliance on bro country and too much of the 'snap beats' kind of tunes.

Its wonderful to see artists like Luke Combs emerge and raise the bar overall.

Get ready Ireland, he’s on the way, and I reckon he's only getting started :)
